Jen Kalkirtz – Massage

I grew up in Beloit from 8-18, & spent most of my childhood dancing at Marx Dance Academy, swimming in my backyard, traveling, reading, & playing with friends. I graduated from Beloit Memorial in 2001. I went to college at UW-Rock County & UW-LaCrosse. After changing my major from Sports Medicine with a minor in Spanish to nursing, I finally found my calling & home in massage therapy (thanks Trina). I graduated from Madison Area Technical College, now Madison College, in December of 2012.

I spent the beginning of 2013 planning my wedding, traveling, & studying for my massage licensing exams. I was married in July of 2013, & began my massage career in August of that same year. I enjoy learning & regularly take classes which expand my knowledge to meet my interests & client needs. I am currently taking online classes which will add certified herbalist, certified aromatherapist, & yoga teacher to my tool box. Movement, healing & human anatomy have always fascinated me.

I love learning & I love massaging. I also enjoy spending my time traveling, reading for fun, spending time with friends, & playing with my husband, Mike, 5 year old Miles, & almost 3 year old twins, Zoe & Morgan. My life is colorful, hectic, loud, wild, & crazy. I love it. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

I’m excited to bring my experience and knowledge to Paull Chiropractic.

Caroline Allen – Massage and Craniosacral Therapy

I am originally from Georgetown Delaware but moved to Janesville as a kid. Then I moved back to Delaware when I was an adult for a few years before I joined the Army National Guard as a light-wheel vehicle mechanic and served 5 years between South Carolina, Washington state, Delaware, and mostly here in Janesville. We now live in beautiful little Milton.

I came back to Janesville for my parents, met my husband and the rest is history. We have 2 growing boys, a Siberian husky, 3 hermit crabs, a cat and a leopard gecko. I grew up training and showing my horses and that was a very big part of my life and taught me a lot. I enjoy bowhunting for deer and target practice with my oldest son and his bow.

My Dad is a master mechanic and I definitely inherited the passion for it until things got too computerized. I enjoy the “old school” vehicles and am a big fan of trucks.

Now I love my massage work with humans and see the technical aspect in much the same way as auto mechanics, just as body mechanics. I very much enjoy working with specific aches and pains as well as postural compensation patterns. I enjoy using a combination of many techniques including but not limited to Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Myofascial Release, Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue (some muscles are deeper than others. This is not the same as deep pressure which I also do).

I am a NASM certified personal trainer as well and very much enjoy recommending strength and resistance training to help combat these issues as well. Lengthening and strengthening are equally as important. I always say “Every muscle has a job, some there job is to help others and some just get very nosey when one isn’t working correctly”.

Through postural correction, which resistance/strength training works hand-in-hand with, we can get these muscles doing their jobs correctly and make the body happier and lifestyle more fulfilling. I do have my own online personal training business but I also have relationships with trainers at local gyms that I like to refer to as well.

I like to take a whole body approach to what what ails you. Which is why I am so grateful to be able to work in Dr Paull’s office with such great professionals in so many complimentary areas.
